Caregiver education is key. Why?
When we discharge our patients from the children’s emergency, caregivers essentially take over their medical care. In fact, this is also true for caregivers of the elderly in the general hospital emergency department. Consequently, although I am quicker to attend to ill patients, I spend more time on caregiver education for patients well enough to go home.
In this section, I share some articles how to manage common conditions like fever in children. I also discuss depression and dementia in personal articles that I hope will be helpful for caregivers. #nerdyjadey
